Who We are
Bath City Pastors patrol the streets of Bath on Friday and Saturday nights, offering support to those in need. Whether it’s a hot drink, a listening ear, a pair of flip flops or a prayer, we are there to listen, care, and help.
Most Fridays and Saturdays, four of us will be on shift. We use a radio to keep in touch with door staff, the emergency services and street marshals.
Volunteers come from many different walks of life and are members of different churches in Bath and beyond.
We were previously part of the Street Pastors organisation and have been in Bath since 2008. We have a brand new name and uniform but we’re the same group of volunteers!
Our Mission

To show the love of Jesus Christ to the city of Bath by offering to come alongside people in the public areas of Bath who are vulnerable, to support them and help protect them from harm.

We allocate our resources where they are most needed, principally in the night
economy and environment of Bath. Working with different agencies we demonstrate God's love by offering pastoral support, acting with compassion and kindness, honouring and respecting each person, and providing reassurance and help to those in need.

In collaboration with various partners and working within our capabilities and resources, we seek to create a calm environment during the night, assisting individuals who may be at risk, helping protect them from harm and to return home safely. Our efforts include patrolling the streets to identify those in need of help, providing care and support either through Bath City Pastors or other organisations.
We actively engage in activities and events throughout the Bath area, where our presence is warmly valued, necessary and appreciated.
